Deputy Prime Minister Dam and Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long applauded their community spirit and patriotism.

Working with the Military Medical Academy, which is conducting the first clinical trial of COVID-19 vaccine in Vietnam, the Deputy Prime Minister said that vaccine is urgently needed but safety must be ensured. He asked production units to prepare plans in case the vaccine is tested successfully.

The Military Medical Academy should build a vaccine research and development center to prevent emerging and extremely dangerous diseases, completing the network of vaccine management and readily responding to future epidemics and disasters, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said.
