Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue told the 10th World Rice Conference co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and The Rice Trader magazine that, after 30 years of continued efforts, Vietnam has become one of the world’s top 3 rice exporters. Vietnam issued a resolution on rice trading as well as a strategy on approaching the rice market to integrate further into the global rice chain and affirm Vietnam’s trademark.
“It’s an honor for Vietnam to host the 10th World Rice Conference, which draws the participation of hundreds of managers, exporters, and importers. At the conference themed “Future Investment in the rice sector”, we will discuss rice trading globally, experience in sustainable production, market management, rice trademarks, technological application, and recommendations for Vietnam’s rice sector.” said Mr. Hue.
