Deputy Prime Minister urges swift recovery post-typhoon Kajiki

(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has asked localities to continue mobilizing military and police forces to join in efforts to overcome the consequences caused by typhoon Kajiki.

At a meeting on Tuesday to review storm response efforts, Mr. Ha said priority should be given to schools, healthcare facilities, policy beneficiaries and low-income households. Quang Tri, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh province and Hue City were asked to focus on mountainous areas and densely populated communities, particularly ensuring the evacuation of residents to safe shelters.

Mr. Ha said: “We need to mobilize the armed forces and the whole political system to engage in this effort, giving priority to restoring schools and healthcare facilities and ensuring that policy beneficiaries and the poor receive state support to repair damage. Specific assignments and priorities must be clearly set to ensure effective recovery.”
