Chairing the regular Government meeting in January on Wednesday in Hanoi, the Prime Minister said that with a national GDP growth target of at least 8% in 2025, ministries, sectors and localities must set new growth targets and submit them to competent authorities for implementation approval. He suggested some solutions focusing on stabilizing the macroeconomy, controlling inflation, and promoting growth.
"We must immediately start production and business as well as fulfill the goals and tasks right from the first month. We must complete everything in February, March, quarters, and months so that we can accomplish tasks all year. Therefore, we must control the situation from the very beginning. Our bottleneck now is the institution, so every month, ministers report on what are the problems so that leaders can promptly direct corrections."
The Prime Minister urged for a proactive, flexible, rapid and effective monetary policy, which should be coordinated harmoniously with a reasonable and focused fiscal expansion policy.
