(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has worked with leaders of Dien Bien, one the poorest provinces in the north-western region with the poverty rate of 48%.

At the working session on Saturday in Dien Bien, Mr. Phuc asked local authorities to ensure political security and social order and delegate power to the people in managing and developing forests. He also called on Dien Bien to promote agriculture and forestation, pay attention to education as a means to escape hunger and poverty and develop the local economy. He said Dien Bien needs breakthrough measures in tourism development and promotion based on the traditional culture of local ethnic groups.
