Digital project helps preserve Hue historical monuments
(VOVWORLD) -A data digitisation project has been implemented in the Complex of Hue Monuments in Thua Thien-Hue province to improve the management and preservation of King Tu Duc's Tomb and the An Dinh Palace.

The project is a partnership between the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre and two US firms - CyArk and Seagate Technology. Images of the tomb and palace will be turned into 3D models to guide research, conservation and restoration of the Hue Monuments. The project uses laser scanning and drone camera to create high resolution imaginary from the ground and above of the heritage sites. People can explore the 3D photos online either on a computer or a mobile device.
