(VOVworld) - ASEAN great unity days are set to take place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi later this month.

The 3-day event themed “One Vision, One Identity, One Community” aims to introduce the culture of ASEAN member countries and strengthen mutual understanding and connectivity.

It also targets the building of an ASEAN community of solidarity, dynamism, peace and prosperity, to help Vietnam raise its role in enhancing ASEAN cooperation and introduce the rich cultural diversity of the nation’s 54 ethnic groups.

Under the framework of the event, six main activities are planned, including an opening ceremony, hoisting the ASEAN flag, and a closing ceremony. A host of other activities promoting the ASEAN countries, people, tourism, heritage and traditional sports are also on the agenda.

Hanoi, Bac Ninh, and Thua Thien Hue and 11 ethnic groups will represent Vietnam to join the program to present Vietnam’s cuisine and intangible cultural heritages such as Ca Tru (ceremonial singing), Quan Ho (traditional love duet singing), and Hue’s royal court music.
