Draft Law on Reserve Force tops NA agenda

(VOVWORLD) - The draft Law on Reserve Force topped the agenda of the National Assembly on Tuesday.

Deputies agreed that the law will build a strong, high quality reserve force for military defense. Phan Thi My Dung, a deputy for Long An province, said: "Building a high-quality reserve force for the military will help safeguard national independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, the people, the Party, the State, and socialism. I strongly support this law."

The draft law takes a new approach in building, training, and using a reserve force for defense and security, and creates a full legal framework for its implementation.

Deputies reported and discussed a proposal to approve the appointment of the Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court.
