East Sea conference’s side event discusses sci-tech cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - Experts from around the world gathered in Da Nang on Wednesday at a national conference on the East Sea (known internationally as the South China Sea) to discuss sci-tech cooperation for green and sustainable development.

The event was organized on the sidelines of the 17th international conference on the East Sea by the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
Experts from Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China), and India shared insights on applying scientific and technological advancements in protecting marine biodiversity beyond national jurisdiction.
They also discussed balancing aquaculture production and biodiversity; conservation in coastal areas; leveraging big data for maritime spatial planning and eco-tourism development; and safeguarding seabed infrastructure.
