The Bank pledged to help the people of Europe get through this difficult time and to ensure that all sectors get financial support.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said Poland will put together an anti-crisis package worth 51 billion USD to protect businesses and employees against the adverse economic effects of the pandemic.

The Greek government vowed to spend more than 490 million USD to protect its half a million workers and provide flexible financial support for enterprises that had to suspend operations due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

The Czech government is preparing 4 billion USD in direct aid for businesses and 36 billion USD in loan guarantees to help them recover.

US President Donald Trump asked Congress to allocate an additional 45.8 billion USD for agencies to fight the novel coronavirus epidemic.
