(VOVworld) – Egypt and China have committed to promote bilateral ties and signed 21 cooperative agreements in economics and trade worth 15 billion USD during the Middle East tour by Chinese President Xi Jinping.

At a meeting on Thursday, China’s President and Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi discussed a number of bilateral cooperation and regional issues. Mr. Xi Jinping said China and Egypt needed to promote joint cooperative strategies, mainly in transport and infrastructure, support each other and foster cooperation in the UN and maintain contact on regional and global issues. President al-Sisi said Egypt would closely cooperate with China in the framework of China-Africa Cooperation Forum.
