President of the Constitutional Council Laurent Fabius re-announced the results of the 2022 French presidential election, confirming that Macron officially won more than 18.7 million votes to continue a new term.

At this inauguration ceremony, he vowed to serve his people with all responsibilities and patriotism. He wowed to "build a planet that is more livable, a France that is more alive and a stronger France." The president spoke of the need to innovate at a time of unprecedented challenges for the world.

Unlike in 2017, Macron's inauguration ceremony was more succinct because there was no transfer of power and handover of state secrets between the outgoing president and the new president. Emmanuel Macron is the first re-elected president since 2002.
