(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung held talks on Monday with Karel De Gucht, EU Trade Commissioner, who is attending the 7^th series of negotiations on the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement from March 17-21.

Prime Minister Dung said that with effort and goodwill from both sides, the negotiation had achieved positive outcomes. He expressed his belief that both sides would continue to cooperate to finalize the agreement in October as planned. Mr. Dung urged the EU to recognize Vietnam’s full market economy.

Karel De Gucht confirmed that the EU would continue to work with Vietnam to complete the FTA negotiations. The EU is Vietnam’s second largest trade partner and Vietnam’s biggest export market.
