Ethnic minority girls receive educational support

(VOVworld) – Ethnic minority girls participating in the “A Brighter Path” scholarship program received special gifts – 50 computers – at the 2012 Dream Meeting, the VinaCapital Foundation announced yesterday. The “A Brighter Path” program has provided scholarships to 50 outstanding ethnic minority girls to spark their hope for a brighter future and encourage them to overcome poverty. Each girl will be supported for 7 years of high school and university with books, accommodation, and clothing. The 2012 Dream Meeting – the program’s annual 3-day seminar and skill training course – was co-organized by the VinaCapital Foundation and the Vu A Dinh scholarship organization late last week. Participating girls had an opportunity to meet with successful women like former Vice President Truong My Hoa, UN Resident Coordinator in Vietnam Pratibha Mehta, and former Vietnamese Ambassador to the EU Ton Nu Thi Ninh.
