EU Foreign Ministers holds urgent talks about tensions between Turkey and Greece

(VOVWORLD) - European Union foreign ministers held urgent talks on Friday about current military tensions between Greece and Turkey over drilling rights in the eastern Mediterranean.

EU foreign ministers on Friday said that dialogue and negotiation are key in addressing issues of delimitation of maritime boundaries and exploitation of resources. They discussed the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean after tensions rose when Turkey resumed energy exploration in the Eastern Mediterranean region after Greece and Egypt signed a controversial maritime delimitation deal.
