EU, IAEA: Iran has not violated nuclear deal

(VOVWORLD) - Israeli’s accusations against Iran’s nuclear program have not put into question Iran's compliance with its Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action commitments, said the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

Federica Mogherini said Tuesday that the IAEA, which is the international organization in charge of monitoring Iran's nuclear compliance, has published 10 reports certifying that Iran has fully complied with its commitments.

The French Foreign Ministry said that Israel’s intelligence may provide ground for monitoring Iran’s long-term nuclear activities.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reiterated that it has had no credible indications of activities in Iran relevant to the development of a nuclear explosive device since 2009. An IAEA spokesman said that its board of governors closed the issue after a report in December 2015, and the IAEA declined to discuss Israel’s accusations.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday said that Tehran is secretly operating a nuclear project called “Amad”, adding that Israel can provide new and convincing proof of Iran’s violation of the deal it signed in 2015.
