EU increases sanctions on North Korea

(VOVworld) – On Thursday the EU added 18 individuals and one entity (either a company or an organization) of North Korea to the list of those subject to EU sanctions.

The list has been expanded to 66 individuals and 42 entities. According to the European Council, those people, mostly senior military officials, are involved in North Korea’s ballistic missile or weapons of mass destruction programs. Their names will be announced on May 20.  The EU sanctions include travel restrictions and an asset freeze.
