EU Migration Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos told a press conference on Wednesday in Brussels that it is the right time for the EU and its members to fund the second tranche after the first 3 billion euros was fully contracted. The EU should follow the same division as before, with the bloc’s budget mobilizing 1 billion euros and its members delivering the other two billion, he said.
