EVN aims to raise Vietnam’s ranking in electricity access index

(VOVWORLD) - The Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) group will strive to raise Vietnam’s ranking in electricity access index to at least 60th position among 190 countries and economies in 2018.

This was one of the goals set by the group at a conference to arrange tasks for the year in Hanoi on Thursday. Addressing the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung underscored EVN’s role as Vietnam’s key energy group, asking it to ensure sufficient supply for daily needs and national economy development. He urged the group to restructure power generation sources, and accelerate key investment projects to meet demand in the coming years, while saving natural resources and protecting the environment.
