The project is part of Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee’s commitment to conserving the Ho Dynasty (1398-1407) Citadel recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Since October until next July, the Center for the Conservation of the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage and the Institute of Archaeology have been conducting excavations over an area of more than 9,900 square meters on the 4th and 5th grounds - key areas within the overall architectural complex of the Nam Giao Altar.
All artifacts and antiquities discovered during the excavation will be temporarily preserved on site, scientifically documented, and reported to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for conservation and promotion.
