Filipino President praises cooperation with Vietnam

(VOVworld) – Vietnamese Ambassador Truong Trieu Duong said this week that he will do his best to promote cooperation with the Philippines, especially by implementing the Vietnam-Philippines Plan of Action until 2016 towards establishing a future strategic partnership.
Ambassador Duong made the statement at a ceremony to present his credentials to Philippine President Benigno Aquino III.
In reply, President Aquino praised the results of cooperation with Vietnam across a variety of fields as well as Vietnam’s important role in ensuring food security for the Philippine people.
Aquino said the Philippines treasures its ties with Vietnam and considers Vietnam an important partner. He also voiced his country’s desire to foster ties with Vietnam in different fields for mutual benefit.
