(VOVworld) - The movie “Idol” by director Nguyen Quang Huy won the gold prize at the 2013 Golden Kite Awards competition. The awards aim to honor outstanding works and individuals in seven categories, namely film, animation, documentary, TV series, short film, scientific film and cinematic commentary.

Director Nguyen Quang Huy said: “I expect to build up a pool of Vietnamese artists with great talents and united family before becoming any idols. Young talents will be aware of their responsibility to the national music industry instead of formal iconic figures on TV.” In scientific film category, “the story of stone” by Nguyen Tai Van won the gold prize. “Paper boats” by Nham Minh Huyen won the gold prize in soap opera category.
