Delegates warned of limited access to banking services for rural and low-income people, especially women. They urged commercial banks to apply digital financial technology and mobile banking services to address vulnerable groups’ needs. An advisor from the Asian Development Bank, David Grave said that financial inclusion for African women came first with payment for public services. That’s followed by electronic ID so that women could gain an equal access to financial services as men do before experiencing higher class banking services.
