(VOVWORLD) - Hoa Binh province on Thursday announced the first shipment of its grapefruits to the EU market by sea.

The shipment will include Tan Lac red-fleshed grapefruits and green-skinned grapefruits, cultivated under stringent technical and food safety standards. They were harvested, processed, and packaged at a facility in Hai Duong province.
Hoa Binh grapefruits already entered the UK in 2022 and the US in 2023. This year’s export volume is projected to be 250-300 tonnes, targeting markets like the EU, the US, and the UK. Hoa Binh is planning to ship its grapefruits to Japan and South Korea in the near future.
