First Vietnam tourism office abroad opens in Japan

(VOVworld) - The Vietnam Tourism Association opened a representative office of Vietnamese tour operators in Tokyo on Wednesday, Vietnam’s very first overseas tourism office.  The office will help Vietnamese and Japanese travel companies lure tourists and help Vietnamese localities promote tourism in Japan.

At an opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Doan Xuan Hung called this a timely decision to meet growing travel demand that is aligned with a bilateral agreement on tourism development. Hung said the office will help to promote Vietnam’s land and people to Japanese tourists and will solicit suggestions for making Vietnam more accessible and attractive.
