(VOVWORLD) - Five Vietnamese universities have been named in the Times Higher Education's Asia University Rankings 2022. Three are in Ho Chi Minh City and two are in Hanoi.

They are Ton DucThang University, Duy Tan University, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), Vietnam National University, HCM City (VNU HCMC), and Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST).
Universities are ranked by performance in five areas: teaching; research; citations; international outlook; and industry income.
This year's Asia University Rankings lists more than 600 higher education institutions from 31 Asian countries and territories, 65 more than last year. China's Tsinghua University topped the rankings, followed by Peking University, National University of Singapore, and University of Hong Kong.
