At a get-together with foreign correspondents and press attachés in Hanoi on Thursday, Khoi said 2015 is an important year as Vietnam marks the 85th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 70th anniversary of the August Revolutionary and National Day, and the 40th anniversary of National Reunification.

As an ASEAN community will be set up this year, Vietnam will continue to uphold its foreign policy of peace, independence, peace, self-reliance, diversification, and multilateralization. Vietnam will persist in protecting its national interests and expanding foreign relations and will be more active at regional and global forums with priority given to international integration, particularly in economics.

Khoi promised Vietnam’s greater contributions to ensuring peace and preventing conflicts.
