Foreigners excitedly celebrate Lunar New Year in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) -After two years of COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam has now become a destination for foreign tourists to experience the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

Ms. Anika from Germany and her family visited the Temple of Literature in Hanoi right on their first day in Vietnam. Anika said she was impressed with the exciting atmosphere with many people and beautiful Tet decoration. She added Vietnamese people are so friendly and she tried Vietnamese cuisine, including Pho, and Bun Cha which she said is excellent.

Ms. Loreena David and Mr. Jack from Los Angeles, the US arrived in Vietnam at this time to study Vietnam’s film industry and were immediately interested in the festive vibe during the Lunar New Year. Ms. David said this was her first trip to Vietnam and she was impressed with the way Vietnamese people celebrate traditional Lunar New Year with family gathering. The streets are busy and crowded.

Ms. Amira from Israel chose Vietnam to spend her 3-week holiday. Amira said everything has got back to normal after the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Amira, on the street, many people still wear face masks, which is a good habit to prevent diseases. Actually, the pandemic has been under control, tourists can be secure to be here, she said.
