FPT, Sierra Leona strike deal to promote digital transformation
(VOVWORLD) - FPT Technology Corporation of Vietnam and the Republic of Sierra Leone on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation to promote digital transformation and human resources training for Sierra Leone.

The MoU was signed by Leone Jacob Jusu Saffa, Chief Minister of the Republic of Sierra Leone, and Truong Gia Binh, FPT’s chairman, during an official visit to Vietnam by Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio. This is the first time FPT has signed a cooperation agreement with a foreign country to promote national digital transformation.
FPT will coordinate with leading consulting firms to advise the Sierra Leone Government on socio-economic development and digital transformation strategies. FPT will also help Sierra Leone build a digital government, a digital economy, and a digital society towards a digital nation model. FPT will open high-quality Bachelor of Technology programs in Vietnam for Sierra Leone students selected and funded by the Government.
