(VOVworld) Statistics from the Ministry of Industry and Trade show that the inventory index of industrial production sectors has surged 6% since the beginning of the year.

The rising price of raw materials has hammered businesses. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has introduced a support project for businesses to free inventories goods and accelerate production. Some short-term measures have proved to be effective, such as reducing interest rates, taxes, and production costs, and encouraging investment. Minister of Industry and Trade, Vu Huy Hoang elaborates: “The project aims to reduce inventories, and boost consumption and production. It will focus on small and medium-sized enterprises. Consumption measures will concentrate on the domestic market, launch campaigns to promote Vietnamese goods, and offer businesses incentives to expand in domestic and global markets.” Minister Hoang said the project is expected to bring positive results after 3 months of implementation.
