G20 commits more access to energy

(VOVWORLD) -The  G20 Energy Ministers meeting ended in Bariloche, Argentina on Friday after a two-day meeting.

Delegates from G20 member and guest countries as well as international organizations discussed public policies to help promote the transition towards more flexible, more transparent and cleaner energy systems. Member countries also suggested solutions to issues including removal of fossil fuel subsidies, energy transitions, energy access and data transparency, renewables, and energy efficiency.

The G20 accounts for 77 percent of the world's energy consumption and more than 80 percent of the world's renewable energy capacity, 85 percent of global GDP, and two-thirds of the world's population.
