At a reception in Hanoi on Tuesday to welcome OVs who have returned home for the Tet festival, VFF President Nguyen Thien Nhan spoke highly of their suggestions of creating a network of intellectuals and experts to contribute to national development and establishing an office in the Czech Republic to promote Vietnamese products abroad.

At a separate meeting with the OV delegation the same day, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan said she hopes the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs will develop more programs to involve OVs, particularly young OVs, in national development, nurturing their love of and pride in the nation and encouraging them to preserve Vietnamese culture.

The OV delegation met with leaders of Hanoi’s People’s Committee. Vice Chairman Le Hong Son thanked OVs for their significant contributions to Hanoi, saying Hanoi will do its best to support OVs to settle down and be a bridge for relations between Vietnam and their host countries.
