(VOVworld) – A ship called HQ 571 sailed on Wednesday to bring Tet gifts from the High Command of Marine Zone 4 to soldiers on Truong Sa Dong island.

The gifts are food and other special items to help the soldiers celebrate the Lunar New Year. Major Hoang Thanh Tu, Chief of Truong Sa Dong island, said the Tet gifts show the afffection of the Party, Government, Defense Ministry, and Vietnamese people for the soldiers and will help them enjoy a proper Tet as on the mainland. The gifts are encouragement to the soldiers to stay at their post to protect Vietnam’s sea and islands.
