Government allows 5 localities to reopen to foreign tourists from November

(VOVWORLD) - The Government has approved a proposal by the tourism ministry to reopen 5 localities to foreign tourists from the middle of this month.

The 5 localities are Kien Giang, Khanh Hoa, Da Nang, Quang Nam, and Quang Ninh.

Ho Chi Minh city is crafting a plan to welcome fully vaccinated foreign tourists from the end of this year. In the first phase, starting in December, tourists will be required to book a tour package with approved travel agency and will arrive by air or cruise ship and stay at designated hotels and resorts. In the second phase, from January, tourists can visit the 5 re-opened localities after completing a seven-day itinerary in HCM city. In the third phase, the schedule for which has not been disclosed, the city will fully reopen to international tourism.
