Government meeting for February convenes
(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung chaired the government meeting for February and the first two months of the year in Hanoi on Friday.
Cabinet members reported positive development in all areas, creating favorable conditions for the government to meet this year’s targets. Prime Minister Dung asked ministries and localities to coordinate measures to implement the government resolution on tasks and solutions for meeting this year’s targets: “Construction capital sourced from government bonds and the state budget should be quickly disbursed. ODA projects should be accelerated to support FDI businesses in their project implementation. Priority should also be given to quality control and waste prevention.”
Prime Minister Dung requested the State Bank of Vietnam to increase credit deposits, lower interest rates, stabilize prices, and address bad debts. He assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam to formulate a program to promote science and technology in agricultural production.
Delegates also discussed 5 years of implementing the party resolution on finalizing the socialist-oriented market economy institution.
