(VOVWorld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has chaired a meeting with the ministries to review the traditional lunar New Year. Ministries reported their care for social beneficiaries to celebrate Tet, including gifts and food for the disadvantaged. Prices of essential goods have been kept under control. The number of fires and fatal traffic accidents were lower than last year while the number of traffic casualties was on the rise. The Prime Minister praised provincial efforts to ensure a jubilant but saving Tet while caring for the poor. He urged ministries and provinces to focus on clear up bad debt and inventory to stimulate production, maintain the macroeconomic stability and boosting economic restructuring.
