(VOVworld)- Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai, Head of the State Steering Committee for Son La and Lai Chau hydro-power plants chaired a meeting on Monday to address the problems facing the resettlement of Son La Hydro-Power plant area.

The Deputy prime Minister urged the relevant authorities to complete the resettlement soon to help local people stabilize their lives. Son La hydro power plant in Muong La district, Son La province was constructed in December 2005 and inaugurated 7 years later becoming the largest hydro power plant in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Due to the project, people in the Son La, Dien Bien and Lai Chau projected regions have had to move to resettlement areas. So far, 90% of the resettlement project has been completed.
