As Jeroen Dijsselbloem arrived in Brussels for a meeting of eurozone finance ministers on Thursday, he said that he had received assurances from Greece's finance minister that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) would take a role in the 86 billion-euro rescue program.

Dijsselbloem who is now Finance Minister of the Netherlands said the bailout was signed by Greece and international creditors last summer.

An anonymous IMF official had said the fund would not be part of the process unless Greece comprehensively implements its reforms required by international creditors and European partners don’t agree on dropping debts for Athens.
