(VOVWORLD) -Spectacular art program and two fireworks performances by Vietnamese and Finnish teams opened the Danang International Fireworks Festival 2023 at Han River on Friday evening. Themed "Peace for mankind", the opening night painted a vivid picture of friendship, unity and peace.

At the opening ceremony, Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh said the Festival is the pride of Da Nang and also a challenge for the city to constantly strive to improve the quality of organization and performance in order to build the brand of Danang International Fireworks Festival and live up to everyone's expectations.
“This year’s Danang International Fireworks Festival is a special festival because we had to wait for three years to be able to enjoy the memorable moments of the night together, now, by the Han River. The COVID 19 pandemic brought the world to a standstill and we became distant. So we hope that the Danang International Fireworks Festival 2023 themed "The world without distance" will help to remove all barriers so that everyone can enjoy the artistic values and cultural beauties together, and work together towards the aspiration for peace and prosperity," Chinh said.

The Festival will run until July 8, 2023, involving eight teams from the UK, Italy, Poland, France, Australia, Canada, Finland and the Vietnamese team from Da Nang.
