Hanoi expects to welcome 23 million visitors in 2017

(VOVworld) – Hanoi has set a target of attracting 23 million tourists this year, 11% more than last year. Tran Duc Hai, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, said on Wednesday at a meeting to promote Hanoi’s tourism: "We will continue to work on tourism promotion and cooperation. Local tourism will be advertised on a wide range of media. The department will host more tourism events and take part in international exhibitions. Tourism facilities and infrastructure will be built or upgraded."

The city will enhance the quality of tourism services at Ba Dinh Square, the Old Quarter, Sword Lake, West Lake, and Hanoi’s traditional craft villages. Strategic investors will be helped with projects to boost tourism of the Red River, the Nhat Tan-Noi Bai urban area, and Ba Vi National Park.
