(VOVworld)- Hanoi expects to receive 300 units of type O blood in a blood donation day on Sunday. This is a popular blood type in Vietnam with up to 46% of carriers but its reserves for medical treatment are in severe shortage. Leu Trung Anh is from a volunteer blood donation group in Hanoi :“The first donation day is held at the Central Institute for Blood Transfusion and the following days will take place in various places such as bus stations and cultural houses through mobile vehicles. We hope more people will respond to this campaign as O type could be donated to people in need of any blood types.”
