Hanoi hosts 5th international nuclear power exhibition

(VOV) – The 5th International Exhibition and Seminar on Nuclear Power opened today/on Thursday in Hanoi, featuring technological innovations to heighten nuclear power plants’ safety. The three-day exhibition is attended by the world’s leading nuclear energy companies. The host Vietnam brings to the event researches on nuclear power technologies and safety, the implementation of Ninh Thuan project, and the country’s legal documents, human resource training, and international cooperation in this sector.

Tran Chi Thanh, Head of the Vietnam Atomic Energy Commission told reporters: The Fukushima disaster has posed great concern among the public over nuclear power development. This exhibition reiterates our determination of developing atomic energy but with greater caution by conducting more comprehensive studies and applying innovative technologies. So that people are assured that nuclear energy is safe.

Speakers at the seminars will present the world’s nuclear energy development post-Fukushima accident and national infrastructure development for nuclear power plant construction.
