Hanoi offers free meals to people affected by COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - Thousands of free meals will be delivered daily to poor patients, unemployed workers, poor students, disadvantaged households, and people with disabilities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This activity is part of the Millions of Meals Program run from July 24 to September 6 by the Hanoi Young Business Association, the City Farmers' Association, and other individuals and groups.

The meals are delivered free of charge by the Vietnam Off-Road Pickup Club, a unit of the Hanoi Youth Union.

The Millions of Meals Program began on July 24, when Hanoi began social distancing.

Nearly 70,000 meals have been delivered to people in difficult circumstances.
