(VOVworld) – The National Assembly Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Young Pioneers, and Children held a working session on Wednesday with Hanoi leaders to review the city’s implementation of the Youth Law. Reports indicated that Hanoi now has 2.7 million young people between 16 and 30 years old, accounting for 33% of Hanoi’s total population. In 2013, Hanoi issued a resolution on encouraging young talent to contribute to municipal construction and development and approved a pilot project to select and train 1000 individuals as key public servants. Hanoi is Vietnam’s first locality to recruit top graduates to work in public agencies. Expenditures on youth activities have doubled in the last 5 years.
