Hanoi seminar discusses intellectual property ecosystem for youth innovation

Tang, on a two-day visit to Vietnam starting Thursday, made the remarks at a seminar in Hanoi on Friday on building an intellectual property ecosystem to foster innovation among Vietnamese youth.

The event was jointly organized by the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), the Ministry of Science and Technology, and WIPO.

In an open dialogue with students, the WIPO chief discussed science, technology, and innovation, offering insights into global development trends while encouraging them to pursue research and entrepreneurial aspirations.

Attending the event, a student said, “Scientific research and innovation movements help us sharpen critical thinking and develop skills to turn ideas into valuable products.”

Marking the occasion, an IP and Innovation Cooperation Alliance was launched, bringing together five universities, with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam serving as professional sponsors for all IP-related activities.
