Hanoi to host 2021's biggest tourism festival
(VOVWORLD) - Thousands of tours, tourism discounts, and vouchers will be available at a tourism festival that will open in Hanoi next Friday, part of a government program called “Vietnamese travel Vietnam” to revive domestic travel after a COVID-19 freeze.
Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang said the festival, the biggest of its kind this year, creates sustainable links between businesses and the state, allows businesses to connect and expand their markets, and creates joint ventures between Hanoi and other localities.
She said the tourism industry needs a strong reboot after being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, adding that businesses should cooperate to create better tourism products. Organizers hope this event will attract a lot more visitors to Hanoi, said Giang.
