HCMC’s GRDP expected to grow 9.4%

(VOVWORLD) - With the city’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) expected to grow 9.97% over 10 months, HCMC’s GRDP will likely reach 9.4% for the whole year, much higher than the target of 6-6.5% set at the beginning of the year.

The figures were released by the municipal Department of Planning and Investment at Tuesday’s meeting to review the city’s socio-economic performance over the first ten months of 2022, and to set tasks for November.

HCMC earned 3.8 billion USD from goods and services and 4.1 billion USD  from export in October.

Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Phan Van Mai underscored the importance of removing obstacles and releasing internal forces to grow despite external impacts.

“We need to focus on completing the remaining tasks of the year and outlining plans for next year,” said Mr. Mai.
