(VOVworld) - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong greeted visiting Lao Defence Minister Chansamone Channhalat on Tuesday.

Mr. Phong said Ho Chi Minh City is leading other provinces and cities nationwide in terms of engagements with Lao localities, particularly Vientiane and Champasak. He told his guests about a number of projects that the southern hub is running in Laos, including those assisting Vientiane in boosting budget management capacity and Champasak province in planning Parksong town. Those activities are further deepening the time-honored relations between Vietnam and Laos.
