HCMC Chairman Phan Van Mai last Friday asked the Prime Minister to allow the city to create regulations better matched to the current situation.

The city also wants to prioritize vaccination to achieve its inoculation target.

The rate of people testing positive for COVID-19 dropped from 0.4% to 0.2% on Saturday, according to the HCM city Center for Disease Control.
