Hundreds of Japanese businesses to take part in Vietnam-Japan culture, trade exchange program

(VOVWORLD) - 300 Japanese enterprises are expected to attend the 5th Vietnam-Japan culture and trade exchange program which will be held in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho in November.

This was announced at a press conference in Kobe city, Japan on Monday. Mr. Nguyen Phuong Lam, director of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Can Tho, said the organization of Vietnam-Japan Culture and Trade Exchange events over the past years has deepened relations between enterprises and investors of the two nations with the benefit of many contracts signed. Cultural exchange not only fosters friendship and bilateral cooperation but also helps boost investment and promote Vietnam’s image to the world, according to Mr. Lam.

“This year, Can Tho will have 2 direct flights from Tokyo and Osaka, Japan to facilitate enterprises coming to the city for the event. The program will include a Japan-Vietnam business forum, sports activities, cultural performances and a culinary melding of the national cuisines of both countries,” he told VOV.
